Stereotypes

We created a Stereotypes Mood Board of different images of characters from TV dramas that represent the 6 social groups: Age, Disability, Gender, Sexuality, Ethnicity and Social class. We got pictures of a variety of different male and female characters in order to show gender through out the tv drama shows, we also showed different relationships bewteen characters to sexuality, for example christain and syed in eastenders and Sophie and Sian in Coronation Street.In order to show disability we got images of both Tariq and Izzy in their wheelchairs and Janet the little girl from Eastenders who was a mental illness. Age was easy to find as there are many different tvdramas, we looked at Waterloo Road and got images of the school children, we then looked at different soaps and got images of the older generation. Social class is shown by the different groups of people, the cast from Downtown abbey were much more safisticated than the cast of Eastenders or Emmerdale. Lastly we got different images of characters  from different races in order to show a variety of ethnicity.
